Our work

The Festival will always be where Camp Kerala’s world began and that same world has since expanded out to a growing list of the world’s most iconic spectacles. But alongside our big, immersive experiences sits another side of the business entirely: private, one-off events and collaborations, built around a shared vision and taken apart again once the last guest has gone home.

WHERE we’ve been

Each Camp Kerala event has its own IDENTITY, complexity and expectation. What follows is a handful of those. Different scales and different projects but the same instinct every time: work out exactly what’s desired then build a world that delivers it exceptionally.

Apollo: WELLNESS for the wealth management world

When the organisers behind one of the world’s largest wealth management gatherings came to Camp Kerala, the brief was simple in principle and harder in practice: give guests somewhere to recharge before every day of insightful talks and somewhere to reset again before every evening of food, drink and live music. It had to feel unique within the wellness space, not just present within it.

We built a programme around that idea rather than a single service: Qi Gong, IV therapy on a riverside terrace, intimate breathwork sessions, a run club, a bespoke Apollo Tennis Club experience and a dedicated wellness area with saunas and hot tubs for whenever guests needed to properly switch off. A neuroscientist joined to lead sessions on stress, the difference between the kind that builds you and the kind that wears you down, alongside how to build real resilience, each one turned into a guided woodland walk rather than a seminar room. This is the event that shaped the corporate wellness offering Camp Kerala now builds out from SHIFT and it remains one of the clearest examples of what that world can become.

Wildmoor: fifteen tents LOST in the Scottish Highlands

Wildmoor asked for something that would take guests further than they’d normally go, so Camp Kerala built fifteen Shikar tents into a remote valley inside Scotland’s Wilderness Nature Reserve, a place with no mobile signal, no Wi-Fi and no roads in or out, only moorland, running streams and an almost startling amount of quiet. The aim was to push everyone gently past their comfort zone and into the wild itself, without asking them to give up the warmth of a luxury home to get there.

For the celebration dinner, we worked with Wildmoor to build a glass orangery in the middle of the valley, with nothing but hillside in every direction, so guests could sit down to dinner with the landscape itself as the room’s four walls. It stands as one of the purest examples of what Camp Kerala does best: taking somewhere genuinely wild and giving it the warmth, precision and service of five-star hospitality, without softening a single edge of what made the place worth going to in the first place.

Silverstone: TRACKSIDE, at the heart of Formula 1

Formula 1 carries the same bucket-list pull as Glastonbury and Silverstone gave Camp Kerala the chance to bring that same instinct trackside. We pitched a hundred and fifty tents inside the circuit itself, right along the Hangar Straight and built a full world around them: a spa, a simulation suite with driving experiences of its own, a sports bar built for race day and a raised restaurant positioned to look straight down onto the racing and the corner beyond it.

With the helipad just a short walk away, guests could land, settle in and be trackside within minutes, never quite leaving the energy of the race even when they’d stepped away from it. It’s a reminder that a Camp Kerala world doesn’t need acres of open field to work: the same principles of comfort, craft and proximity to the spectacle apply just as well inside the walls of a circuit as they do in the middle of a Festival field.

Wonderfruit: a RAINFOREST Festival in Thailand

Wonderfruit is one of those events that’s genuinely hard to describe until you’ve stood in the middle of it: a music and sustainability Festival built inside a Thai rainforest, with a pineapple field at its heart and sculpture, electronic music and colour running through every corner of the site. Camp Kerala’s fifty tents sat two minutes from the action, alongside a main restaurant and spa built to match the mood of the place rather than import a foreign one on top of it.

Every detail leaned into where we actually were: Thai flavours running through the menus, showers built from bamboo and a crew drawn largely from the local community, with proceeds supporting local causes including a dog welfare charity in the region. It is the kind of event built on art, wonder and imagination rather than headline acts and one the team would happily pack the tents for all over again.

A PRIVATE gathering for the Royal Family at Sudeley Castle

A tea party at Sudeley Castle doesn’t sound like it needs much orchestration, until the guest list includes members of the Royal Family and the expectations of a charity like Elephant Family riding on every detail. Members of the Royal Family joined the day Camp Kerala built for them and with the British weather doing exactly what British weather does, the team spent as much energy holding the elements at bay as they did on the event itself.

It also happened to fall in the middle of the pandemic, when almost nothing about hosting an event was straightforward and it remains one of the clearest examples of Camp Kerala’s ability to stay composed and inventive when the conditions refuse to cooperate. Elegant, unbothered and entirely unruffled by the rain, exactly the impression a royal tea party should leave.

Wintermute: a corporate night at HOME

Wintermute brought its event home, quite literally, staging its corporate gathering right at Camp Kerala’s own base in Pilton. The brief called for something different to the usual, so the team built out forty tents alongside a restaurant, a casino, gaming tables and a burlesque show, with a steady stream of helicopters landing throughout the day to bring guests in.

Staging a corporate night on the ground Camp Kerala calls home meant the team could push harder, drawing on a familiarity with the valley that only comes from years of building there. Wintermute is proof of what that makes possible: a restaurant, a casino, gaming tables and a burlesque show, a full night out engineered end to end without a single guest needing to leave the valley to find it.
