The journey to find the ultimate tents
In the golden summer of 1980, Jen, Camp Kerala’s founder, embarked on a transformative journey through Kenya’s Masai Mara. There, amidst the endless savannah, a constellation of extraordinary tents captured her imagination. These weren’t mere shelters; they were sanctuaries of serenity, elegant yet sturdy, spacious yet intimate – a perfect harmony of form and function. Awakening in these tents was akin to discovering a personal paradise, an experience so profound it sparked a quest to bring this magic to England.
The journey to bring these marvellous creations to life led Jen across oceans to the vibrant landscapes of Rajasthan, India. Find out more about how this journey unfolded and how, given Jen’s lifelong passion for India, it felt like a destiny fulfilled.
